Directions for Halloween Jack-O-Lantern Sandwich Recipe

- Take a biscuit and flatten it with the palm of your hand.
- Place a layer of cheese on the flattened biscuit.
- Take another biscuit and flatten it to the size of the first.
- Use a knife to cut out a jack-o-lantern face on this biscuit and then lay it on top of the biscuit with cheese pinching the edges together.
- Cook at 350 degrees for 10 min. or until a light golden color.

-Cut your fruit into pieces
-Push your Popsicle stick thru each piece of fruit, you may put more than one piece of fruit on the stick if you wish.
-Place your stick with the fruit into your cup and pour orange juice in.

Put your cups into the freezer for a few hours or until it is frozen.
Hint: The more juice you pour into your glass, the longer it will take to freeze. Plan accordingly.

Stickers

Directions for Number Learning Kids Activity

Take some blank 3 x 5 notecards and write individual numbers on each of them.
Also use stickers, and have the children put one sticker on one 3 x 5 card, two stickers on the next one, three stickers on the next one and so on.

There are a few different activities the kids can play with these cards.
-Mix up the number cards and have the children put them in order. 1,2,3 etc

-Mix up the sticker cards and have the kids put those in order depending on how many stickers are on the cards. 1, 2, 3 etc.

-You may also have the kids put the cards in descending order. 10, 9, 8 etc.

-Matching the sticker cards to the correct number card is fun also. Have the children count the stickers on a card, and then find the card with the corresponding number.

Bring the rope up, so the children can hold onto it, and tie a knot in the top.

Paint cans can be craftily made into something to hold treasures in, or to give gifts away in. You may use them to hold toys, trinkets, pencils, all kinds of gifts for kids to bring to parties, and any other things you can think of. This is also a pretty simple craft for children.

Things Needed For Paint Can Kids Craft

1 Paint can with Lid
Scrap book paper
Ribbon
Glue
Glitter
Stickers
(pretty much anything your children could use to decorate a paint can)

Directions For Paint Can Kids Craft

Make sure that you clean out the can and the lid, so there is no paint left anywhere.

Use scrapbook paper to go around enitre can. Decorate the can however you would like. For this can there is a different color (blue) scrapbook paper that has the torn look around the edges. This paper was taped around the middle of the can and a piece of ribbon was glued over the top of that.
The words on the ribbon were made with glue and glitter. Spell the letters with your glue, and shake the glitter on top of the glue.
The same technique was used for a piece of paper on the lid of the can.

Use different color ribbon and knots along the handle for a nice finishing touch.

For this paint can there were three bells that had the ribbon threaded through them and tied onto the handle as well.

Gift Box Kids Craft Activity

This Gift Box Children's Craft Activity is a fun way for kids to make something for their friends, teachers, or anyone they may wish to give a small gift too. A child may use this box as a Valentine and fill it with candy, or use it to give a small gift. Putting a small amount of tissue paper inside the box is a nice touch. A child may also use it for their own, and put whatever they wish inside their own little box.

Items Needed For Children's Craft

12 x 12 Piece of Cardstock

Scissors

Tape

Ruler

Directions For Gift Box Kids Craft

Purchase a 12 x 12 piece of paper. Cardstock works best for a more sturdy box. In the picture below, I have laid a box over the paper, that has already been cut out, so you can see what it should look like.Cut out your paper with the dimensions below.
12 inches long, 3 inches wide and 6 1/2 inch height.

From the top, measure down 1/2 inch on both side and then make the half inch fold. This will be the front flap that tucks in the box.

Measure Down 3 1/2 inches from the top. Make a fold all the way across. This will be the lid of the box.

From the bottom measure 1 1/2 inches up. Measure it in many places along the entire bottom and then fold the entire bottom, this will be the bottom of the box.

Along the bottom there will be four sections each will be 3 inches wide. These will be the sides of the box.

Mark a line every three inches and fold in these creases.

Up from the bottom, every 3 inches cut up 1 1/2 inches. This is where the bottom of the box will fold into each other.

Fold up your bottom, then fold each side into each other to form the box. Tape the bottom and the side that is open.

Grand Sundae Ice Cream

When the homemade ice cream is done, have each child make their own Grand Sundae. Have all kinds of toppings available. Nuts (make sure the kids don't have allergies), Chocolate Sauce, Caramel Sauce, Butterscotch Sauce, Sprinkles, Whipped Cream, Gummy Bears, Crushed cookies, Sliced Banannas, or anything else you can think of.

Ice Cream Birthday Cake Idea

-Make your Choice of cake mix in a round cake pan. I used a pie pan.
-After the cake has cooled use a tooth pick to trace in about an inch to an 1 1/2 inches in on either side half-way down the cake. Then make a half circle. This half circle will be your ice cream.
- Cut along your line. It should look like the picture below.
Cut the piece you just cut off in half and put half of it below, it will become the bottom of your ice cream cup.
Frost your cake, you may make the cup any color you would like, as well as your frosting, but white seems to make it more classic. Use brown frosting for chocolate sauce, or use real chocolate sauce or caramel. Then use sprinkles to spruce it up. You may also like to use a knife or toothpick to make lines in your cup to spruce it up just a bit.

With your left over ice cream or a 5 quart bucket from the store, let the kids have an ice cream fight. It can get pretty messy, so let them know to dress in some grubby clothes. It's best to have the ice cream fight outside as well. It's sticky, and a whole lot of fun!

Directions for Baked Alaska Recipe

- Bake your brownies in a greased pie pan. Let Cool
- While your brownies are cooking, put your Ice Cream into a bowl, who's mouth is about the same size as the bottom of the pie pan. Freeze this in a cold freezer until it is well frozen.

- Turn your pie pan upside down and take your brownies out onto a cookie sheet or anything a bit larger than the brownies that you can stick into the oven.

- Put a layer of your chocolate fudge sauce on top of the brownies and then sprinkle your pecans on top of the fudge sauce.

- Before the next step make sure your Oven is heated to 500 degrees.

- Take your ice cream out of the freezer and place it on top of the brownie, fudge and nut layer

- Pour and spread your meringue layer all around everything. It will be a shield for the ice cream in the oven, so make sure that everything is covered with meringue.

- Place everything into your 500 degree oven for about Five minutes or until the edges look a golden brown.

Then slice quickly, serve and enjoy. Plan on using all of it at one sitting, it is hard to keep for later.

ABC Play dough Cutouts Kids Activity

ABC Blocks Party Activity

Blocks are also a fun thing for kids to play with. You may want to purchase some alphabet blocks to let the kids play with, and either let the kids spell simple workds or pick out certain letters.

Bake your cake in a square pan. You may also want to make a smaller cake so you can stack them like blocks. Frost the cake white. Use Decorating Gel and draw squares on the cake to make it look like blocks. Draw letters inside the squares. Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Lightly spray 9 x 13 pan with vegetable oil. Prepare cake mix in medium bowl according to package directions. Pour half (about 2 1/2 cups) of the batter into pan; spread evenly over the bottom.
Cook for 15 minutes

While cake is baking, microwave caramels with milk and butter on high 3 minutes, stirring after 2 minutes. Stir until mixture is smooth. Slowly pour caramel mixture evenly over partially baked cake. -Heat a pan or skiilet of oil on your stove.

Pooh Sticks Birthday Party Game

Winnie the Pooh's favorite game is Pooh Sticks. If you are near a small creek or stream with a bridge, have the kids play Pooh Sticks. Gather up many small sticks. Give each child a stick and have them throw it into the stream. Then run to the other side and see which stick comes out first.

Bake your cakemix in a round cake pan. Make two cupcakes for the ears as well.
After your cake cools, poke with a tooth pick the outline of Pooh Face. Then frost within your lines.
To make the frosting color for Pooh's face I used white frosting and put in a little baking cocoa and yellow food coloring. I just did a little at a time until I came up with the color I wanted.
I used red frosting for Pooh's Shirt and blue for the sky behind Pooh's face
I used chocolate frosting for the features of Pooh's face. Use a toothpick to trace in the frosting the features of the face before you frost it on.

Miniature Golf Kids Activity

Miniature Golf is fun for kids and adults of all ages. It helps with hand eye coordination too. This miniature golf idea is for young children. It's simple and uses many things you may have in your home.

You may not have all the items listed below, but use our ideas and add some of your own as well. You may use these ideas to play either inside or outside.

You may use a golf ball or any little rubber bouncy ball you may have. If you have a golf putter let the kids use that or even a small bat or a stick will do.

Miniature Golf Kids Ideas

Pinwheel Lane
You can either buy or make some pinwheels. Here is a link on how to make a PINWHEEL. Line your pinwheels up in a zigzag line, and have the kids putt their ball zigzagging around through the pinwheels.

Teddy Bear Mountain
Make a blanket look like a small mountain, and pile your teddy bears on top of the mountain. Then have the children, hit their balls around the mountain.

Doll Parade
Line your dolls (or stuffed animals) up in two lines, like their marching down a parade. Have the kids hit their ball down through the middle of the two lines of dolls.

Popcorn Junction
Either buy a box of popcorn, or pop some popcorn and put it into a bowl or two. Have the children hit their way around popcorn junction.

Train Circle
If you have a train. set it up so that the children can hit the ball under the train. If there is a bridge or two, that would be best. If you cannot use a train set, you could draw one on some cardboard and make a tunnel with some poster board or card stock.

Flag Memorial
Have some flags that you can poke into the ground to have the children zigzag their way through. If you do not have flags you can make some by coloring on some white paper towels and taping them to a stick.
If you are doing this inside, use an empty cereal box to poke the flags into, and hit your ball through the box. Lemonade Pass
Have two pitchers of Lemonade that they must hit their balls through. After the activity they can have a nice glass of lemonade to drink.

Banana Monkey Junction
If you have a stuffed monkey have him sitting there with a bowl of bananas that the kids can eat after their activity. Have them hit their balls around banana monkey junction.

Rabbit Hole or Log
To end your adventure use an empty cleaned out soup can. It's best to use the kind of can opener that just releases the seal of the lid, and doesn't cut the lid, that way nobody will get cut. If you have a place you can stick the can in the ground for the rabbit hole, that would be fun for the kids to hit their ball into the rabbit hole.
If you cannot put it into the ground, make your can look like a log. You may cover it with brown colored paper and put lines on it to look like a log. Then have them hit their ball into the rabbit hole in the log.

I have some signs that you can cut out and tape to a popsicle stick and put in the ground next to the obstacle. Download Signs. You may cover them in contact paper if you wish.

Directions For Easter Basket Craft

Take the clean milk carton and cut the top and sides out. Leave the handle for the kids to hold onto and the front to paste the bunny face on.

Cut out the bunny face and paste with it on the front with glue or tape.

Use any size cake pan. Let it cool and frost it with any frosting that you wish. Then take a new play dough toy, use some thick frosting. You can either put it in the fridge for awhile or add more powdered sugar to your frosting. Put the frosting into the play dough toy and squish it onto the cake so that it looks like play dough. Stick the toy on the cake and even a new tub of play dough.

With your teams have each person take turns running backward holding a cup of water, when they reach the other side, have them dump their water into a bucket and run back backwards. The team with the most water in their bucket wins.

You could do a Pinata in a backwards different way. Have many strings coming from the Pinata, let each child pull on a string. Let only one open a door on the pinata to let the goodies fall out. You may have to help shake the goodies out.

Split the children into two teams. Each team has a balloon and a broom. When the game starts and you say go, each teams individual memebers need to run while hitting their balloon with the broom. The race down and around a chair and back, then give the broom and balloon to the next player. The first team to have all it's members finish wins. Hint: You may want to have extra ballons in case they pop.

Split the kids into teams. Give each child a balloon. When you say go, the first child from each team runs down to a chair, sits on their balloon until it pops and then runs back. The next child then goes and so on until all the children have gone. The first team done wins.

Take your sugar cubes and frost the bottom of each and stick it to the surface or the sugar cube beneath it.

You may make your pyramid as big as you like, but for this example we are showing one with FOUR cubes across and down. Make a square 4 x 4

The next layer make it one less than the one beneath it. So, for this one, make the square 3 x 3. Then the next layer will be 2 x 2 square and then 1 on top.

Things Needed For Children's Pinwheel Craft

1 Small Dowel or Pencil
1 Piece of Card stock
1 Push pin
Things to color with and decorate with.

Directions for Making Kids Pinwheel Craft

Take your paper and fold one corner up so that it touches the other side.

There will be a 2 1/2 inch piece at the top. Cut that piece off.

Your paper will have a crease in it fold the opposite sides together so the when you open the page it will have creases in the shape of an X

Color both sides of the page in any way that you would like. You could use paints, crayons, glitter, stickers or anything that would make your pinwheel colorful and fun.

Make sure you color both sides of the card stock.

Punch a hole in the bottom of each corner of the page. Make sure that you have it on one side of the crease so you can pull the pieces to the middle.

Cut the creases about halfway up the crease and then pull the pieces that have the hole punch in them to the center of the page.

Use a push pin to go through the holes gathered at the middle. Push the pin into a pencil or small wooden dowel.

Making Instruments Kids Activity

Kids love to make noise. Homemade instruments are a fun way that kids can use some creativity by making and playing their homemade instruments.

Homemade Guitar Musical Instrument

- Take a plastic storage container and different sized rubber bands. The differing sizes and the tightness of the rubber bands will make the pitches higher or lower sounding when plucked with your finger.

- Stretch the bands over the container, and then pluck away.

Homemade Tambourine

-Take two paper or Styrofoam plates.

-Let the kids color in top of the plates to make them colorful. It's easier to do this if they are paper.

-Take and fill one side of a plate full of uncooked rice or beans.

Put the other lid on top of the one full of beans or rice and staple the two plates together.

Shake it or pound on it to make a fun rhythm instrument.

Homemade drum

A quick and easy drum is an empty oatmeal container. Turn it upside down or just pound on the lid for a fun sound. You could use your hands or some sticks.

Water Glass Chimes Instrument

Take 4, 5 or more glasses and fill them with differring amounts of water. The ones that are less full will make a deeper sound and the ones more full will make a higher pitch sound.

Tap on the outside of the glasses with the end of a spoon and try to tap out a tune.

Directions For Windsock Kids Craft

-Cut tape into small strips. Line the outside and inside of embroidery hoop with the tape.

-Take your streamers and srap them around the hoop.

- If you wrap the tip of a streamer around the hoop it will make the windsock long.

- If you wrap the middle of the streamer around the hoop it will make the windsock shorter, but it will be more full.

- You may also get a piece of wire and attach it to either side of the hoop to make a handle to hold and let the kids run with it, or use it to hand up and watch the streamers fly and sparkle in the sunshine.

Put a seperate color of food coloring in each of the two glasses of water.
We used blue and red food coloring.
Cut your celery stick in two halfway up the stick and stick each end into a different cup.

Let the stick soke up the water for a day and then take a look at how the celery stick soaked up the different colors of water. The threads in the stick will have either a blue tint or a red tint in them. The water goes from an area of low concentration to an area of high concentration.

You could also just have a lot of water balloon to throw at each other for a water balloon fight.

Water Over The Shoulder Kids Game

Split your group of kids into two groups. Have the children line up in two lines.

Each line has two ice cream buckets. One at the front of the line which is filled water. The other at the back of the line behind the last person.

Each child has a cup that they stick on the shoulder of the child in front of them.

When the teams are told to begin, the child in the front of the line dips their cup into the water in front of them, then pours it into the cup on their shoulder of the child behind them.

Each child continues to pour their cup of water behind them into the child behind thems cup.

The last child pours their water over their shoulder into their ice cream bucket.

When the children are told to stop, the team with the most water in their bucket is the winner.

Water Party Snack Idea

Make Snow Cones for a snack. They are just a different form of water, frozen water, so they'll work great on a hot day for a water party.

Get a bag of ice from your local store or make your own.

If you do not have a snow cone machine use your food processor or blender to chop up the ice.

Make up some kool-aid and pour a little onto the ice after you've put it into a small cup for each child. Make sure it's just enough kool-aid to change the ice colors, so that you don't melt it all.

Water Party Cake Idea

I used a 9 x 13 cake pan to make the cake in. After it was cool, I took it out of the pan.

I colored frosting blue. I tried to make a swirl to the frosting so that it looked like water.

For the little island I used crunched up grahm crackers.

I put gold fish crackers in the water for fish.

I used honey grahms teddy bears for my little people on the island and swimming in the water. A couple of the teddy bears I cut in half and glued them with iceing onto white lifesavers.
One teddy is floating on the water on a string licorice life raft.

The palm trees I made by using a gum drop and rolling it out with a rolling pin to make it flat. I then cut out the shape with a knife and then just pressed it onto a pretzle stick.

The coconut on the island is just a junior mint.
It's a fun cake idea for a water party.

A plain old water fight at the end is great too. Have buckets and hoses and squirt guns and just have a great time.

Put a sheet or light blanket over a table.
Get a Flashlight and bring it under the table.
Bring different toys such as, stuffed animals, dolls, cars, dinosaurs or anything else you can make a story with.
Either make up a story, or use a storybook that you have to tell a story.

While telling the story hold the toy up in front of the flash light while you are under the table, so the kids can see the shadow of the toy from the other side.

Let the children experiment with the shadows to see how they change when you hold the object close to the flash light or far away from it.

Take the group of kids you have and have them break off into groups of two children. Each group of two stands side by side and links one arm to the other child.

Two children are chosen to be the one it and the one running. The child who is it, is chasing the other child. If the child chasing catches up too and touches the other child, then that child is it.

The child who is running can become safe by linking arms with one of the children in a set of children linking arms. There are now three children linked together. The one who was not linked onto by the child running is now the one who has to run.

After the child has gone all the way around the circle, the person in the middle says button button who's got the button.

Everyone gets to guess who may have the button. Whomever guesses who has the button is then the child in the middle and gets to start the game over again.

If nobody can guess who has the button then the game starts over again.

Water Balloon Volleyball Game Directions

Slip your group into two teams.
Split each team into groups of two players.
Each group of players have a towel that they hold between them, one player on each end.

To begin the game, have the teams be on either side of a volleyball net. One team starts with a water balloon in one of their groups towels. The two players hold their towel tight and toss the balloon over the net with it.

If the balloon breaks on your side the other team gets a point.

Have each child make a BOX CAR and then have the kids use their car for a race in the yard. You could even have obstacles that they have to go around or over or thru with their cars.

Hot Wheels Race for Cars Birthday Party

Give each child a toy car. Have a piece of plywood set up or a thick piece of cardboard or something else that the kids can race their cars on.

Have the kids stand or kneel behind the wood or cardboard and have them line up their cars. Then say go and see who's car is the fastest. Have them race their cars a few times.

Cake Idea for Cars Birthday Party

Make cupcakes for each child. Find some mini cars and put a small car on top of each cupcake for the children.
-You could also make a cake in the shape of a car. Bake a cake in a 9 x 13 pan.
-When the cake cools down, take it out of the pan.
-Draw the shape of a car out on paper and cut it out.
-Lay the shape on top of the cake and cut it out.
-Then use toothpicks to poke in the cake the shape of the windows and other details of the car.

It would be an afternoon to remember. This party could be used as either a birthday party or as an anytime party.

Getting to the Dress Up Party

When they all get to the party, give all the girls a little bag with either small plastic coins, play paper money or made up coupons for each station. Tell them they get to go out for a day on the town.

Have different rooms in your house as the different stores they will visit, or just have different stores set up in a larger room of your home.

Any of the items needed for dress up can probably be purchased at the local second hand store. If you do not have the items.

Make sure the girls know that at the end of the party they are to return the items to the store. You may tell them they are returning them for a gift at the end. You may buy some little bracelets that each girl can take home.

For the Dress Shop have the girls come shopping for dresses. Use some of your old dresses. Let the girls pick out the dress they would like to wear and then purchase it with their pretend money or coupon.

Have a variety of fancy shoes for the girls to choose from and let each purchase the pair that they would like to wear for their dressup afternoon out on the town.

Jewlery Dressup Shop

Let the girls each pick out some jewlery to wear for their afternoon out on the town. They may get, clip on earrings, rings, necklaces, or bracelets to choose from. Let each use their pretend money once again.

Accessories Dressup Shop

Let the girls pick out a hand bag and a fun hat at this shop, or any other accessories that you can think of. Have them use their play money or coupons.

Have your kitchen or dining room made up to be a restraunt where the girls can all go out to eat with their friends in their dressup outfits.

Instructions For the Box Car Craft

Take a box big enough for a child to fit in. I used a diaper box.

Cut off the flaps. If you would like a windshield for the car leave one of the flaps on the short side of the car.

If there is writting on the outside, open the side and turn the box inside out and tape it shut, so that you can write on the outside.

Use the flaps to cut tires out and have the kids color the tires. Then tape them to the side of the box.
Have the kids decorate the box however they would like.

Let the kids get in their homemade car and drive it around the house.

Take an egg carton and cut off the lid and the flap.

For the antennae and legs, use pipe cleaners.

Press the edges of the two pieces of dough together to form one biscuit.

This is a simple and yummy cinnamon sugar candied apple recipe. Let your kids help you put the ingredients in the apple, they love to help make snacks.

Candied Apple Snack Ingredients

1 Apple - cored

1 1/2 Tbsp Brown Sugar

A pinch of Cinnamon

A dash of Nutmeg

1 tsp butter

For this candied apple snack, core your apple and place it in a microwave safe dish.

Mix together brown sugar, cinnamon and nutmeg.

Place the mixture inside the cored apple. A toddler or baby spoon works nicely for this.

Place the tsp of butter on top of your filled apple.

Microwave your candied apple for 5 - 6 minutes.

When done, you may spoon the caramelized sauce over the apple before serving.

Bake Cinnamon Candied Apple

You may also bake the candied apple in the oven if you wish.

Homemade Potato Stamps Kids Craft

Homemade Potato Stamps are a fun craft activity to do with your kids. They are cheap, simple and a lot of fun.

Instructions for Potato Stamp Craft

To start this craft idea, find a large potato, that would be big enough to make a stamp out of. Cut the potato in half and you can use both sides to make a stamp.

There are a couple ways to make the stamp. You may either use a small cookie cutter or draw it on to make the stamp.

To use the cookie cutter, press it down into the potato until it is a 1/4 inch down or so.

Take a knife and cut around the cookie cutter about a 1/4 inch down.

Pull the cookie cutter off and you have a fun little stamp.

You may also draw a picture onto your potato to make this stamp craft.

Draw the picture you would like.

Then take a knife and cut down around the shape drawn about 1/4 inch.

Cut in from the side of the potato until you hit the side of the shape drawn, and discard the potato around the shape.

When you are done the shape should be sticking up 1/4 inch or so.

When finished with your potato stamp craft you may use paint and paint the color onto your stamp with a cotton swab or a paint brush.

Then use your homemade stamp to stamp on whatever you wish.

You may also use ink with your potato stamp.

Nature hunts and Nature walk activities are a nice way for children to get outside and see the world around them. They get to explore and have fun outside.

Take a paper bag, an ice cream bucket, or one of your children's toy buckets, and paste a list of things for the kids to find or search for and see on your nature hunt.

Take a pencil and mark things off the lists as you find them.

You may also wish to let the kids color on the bags or buckets before you take them on your nature hunt.

- Pop a bag of popcorn in the microwave or make popcorn however you like.

- Put the popcorn into a large microwave safe bowl.

- Pour 1 to 1 1/2 cups of any kind of baking chips. (Chocolate, Butterscotch, Peanut Butter etc)

- Microwave at 15 second intervals stirring each time, until the chips are melted to the consistency you wish.

Dinosaur Kids Birthday Party

Little kids love Dinosaurs. We invited both boys and girls to this Dinosaur kids Birthday Party and they all had a great time.

Party Invitations

Make invitations with dinosaurs on them inviting the children to come to the Dino Birthday Party for your child. It will get the kids excited for what may be at the party.

Party Food
I found some dinosaur shaped chicken nuggets at our local grocery store. They were quite a hit with the kids.

Party Activities
Volcanno
I made a volcano for the party and put dinosaurs around it to make it seem a bit more fun and prehistoric. Look at my Volcano Kids Activity to see how to make one.
Let each child have a turn pouring in the vinegar. They will love to watch it overflow.

Dinosaur Freeze

Find some small dinosaurs at the store and freeze them in ice cubes in the freezer. Put the frozen dinosaur cubes into a small kiddie pool with ice and let the kids find the dinos.

Dinosaur Dig
Get some bigger dinosaurs from the store and put them into the sand box. Give the kids a shovel or just use their hands to dig up the dinosaurs and have their first chance at being an Archeologist on their very on Dino Dig.

Cake
It's always fun to have cupcakes at a birthday party. You can put a minature dinosaur on the top of each cupcake for the kids to take home.

Party Favors
When the kids first came to the party, I had them decorate their own sack with Dinosaur stickers and stamps. They then had somewhere to put all of their dinosaur stuff they recieved during the party. I also found some dinosaur fruit snacks and some playdough so the kids could shape their very own dinosaurs with.

Homemade Kids Playdough Recipe

This homemade Kids Playdough Recipe is a great recipe for making kids play dough.

Playdough Indredients

1 1/2 cups flour

1 1/2 cups water

1/3 cup salt

3 tsp cream of tartar

2 tsp vegitable oil

For color use a kool-aid packet or food coloring. To make the playdough brown I have used baking cocoa.

Mix all indgredients for the homemade play dough together into a saucepan.

Heat on medium low heat stirring constantly until it has all thinckened into a firm ball of play dough.

Snow Globe Craft Kids Activity

This Snow Globe Craft Kids Activity is fun for the Holiday season, but could be used at any time during the year. Kids love to put things into a snow globe and shake them and watch the snow swirl around. The snow globe seems almost magical.

Take a baby food jar and glue a small toy to the lid, such as a puppy, snowman, Santa, doll, or anything that is small enough to fit in a baby food jar. If you wish you could use large jars as well and use larger items to glue to the lid.

After the glue is dry, fill the jar with water and tear up pieces of tissue paper to stick inside. You may also use glitter. Screw the lid back onto the jar and shake it. You then have a fun little snowglobe.

Garden Tool Bucket Craft Activity

This Garden Tool Bucket Craft Activity is a fun way to help use some creativity, and to help them get ready for Summer. This Gardening bucket is inexpensive, cute and a fun way to hold all the kids' outside gardening tools.

Take a clean empty milk carton and cut the top part off leaving the handle to hold onto. Have the kids paint pictures on the carton and let them dry. Then stick their gardening things in the Gardening bucket and they'll be ready to come and help you around in the garden.

Snow Sculpture Kids Activity

Snow activities are a fun way to get out of the house in the gloom and cold of winter. Kids love to play in the snow and this Snow Sculpture Kids Activity is a way to help their little minds stay creative, and to have some fun artwork in your yard.

Build up a pile of snow and pack it down pretty hard until you have a nice hard pile of snow.

Carve out a shape in the snow with utinsils.

You can make a turtle, dog, rabbit, telephone, whatever you wish.

To put some color on your snow sculpture, take a water bottle full of water and put some food coloring into the water. You can then sray different parts of your snow sculpture different colors.

For Valentines day recipe you could put red food coloring in along and with the red hots and shape them into hearts.

Water Softball Kids Activity

Water softball is a great and fun activity to get everyone together to have a good time. Kids will love playing this game and getting wet while doing so too.

For this Game and Summer time activity you need to split your group into two teams.

Have bucket full of water for each base and either a slip and slide or a kiddie pool for home plate.

The pitcher has a bucket of water and a sponge ball. Before each throw the pitcher dunks the ball

in water.

The batter has a plastic bat, and the infielders don't need a mitt.

Just use softball rules except the runners stick their foot in the buckets of water. A slip and slide is

fun for home plate because you can slide into home.

Water Sponge Dodgeball Kids Game

For this fun Game and Summer time water sponge dodgeball activity you need to split your group into two teams.

- Have a few buckets full of water for each team.

- Have three or four large sponge balls.

- Dip the balls in water and line them up in a line down the middle between the two teams.

- Have the two teams line up facing each other, and blow a whistle or say GO to start the game.

- The teams run for the balls and throw them at each other having each team stay on their own side.
- Team members may dip the balls in the buckets of water to keep them wet.

- Once a person is hit by a ball they are out.

- The team with players left without being hit is the winner.

Squirt Gun Kids Party

This Squirt Gun Kids Party could be used for an anytime party or for a Birthday party.

When everyone gets to the party give them a squirt gun.

Have activities or games that can be played with the squirt gun.

Candle Game

Have some candles set up in a line, so that the kids can shoot out the flame with their squirt gun. The person whose flame goes out first is the winner. If you plan on having a few kids play at a time, make sure you have extra candles, in cae the wicks get so wet you can't light them again.

Squirt Gun Shoot Off Game
Have some type of small toy like a small rubber duck or an army toy. Something small enough for a squirt gun to move. Line the toys up on a ledge. Have the kids line up and shoot the toys with their squirt guns until someone shoot a toy off. That person is the winner. Or just have the kids shoot the toys off the ledge and when they do then that toy is theirs.

The Nose Game
Find a picture of anything with a big nose. It could be a clown, puppy etc. Copy the picture off on some lightway paper. Hang the pictures up and have the kids shoot at the picture until the nose is gone.

After all the activities let the kids have a waterfight with their new squirt guns.
